Hey guys whats the predominant energy system used in basketball?

Aerobic. Because basketball is 40 mins long and aerobic is predominant for anything over 90 sec. Plus, the data provided by my school shows that 36 minutes out of 40 were spent walking, jogging, standing, running or on the bench. These are all primarily aerobic events.

thanks a lot but if a question says which energy systems does basketball use do i say aerobic or everything contributes at different activities such as dunks , fast breaks?

Well they're all contributing, but aerobic will generally be predominant. Still, keep in mind that if a jump for a dunk is performed after the player has had 30 sec passive recovery, ATP-PC will be the dominant system
