Author Topic: Engage Education Free Exams and their relevance to the study design??  (Read 2719 times)  Share

http://wiki.engageeducation.org.au/practice-exams/psychology/ This here website has free exams for many subjects, so I thought it would be a good place to start with completing practice questions. Today I completed paper B to the best of my current abilities open book, and I came across a worryingly high amount of questions that were foreign to me.
So dearest genius past and present psych students, may I have some assistance determining which content is necessary to know?? Please?
  • What are the ethics "Integrity", "Beneficence" and "Justice"?? (MC, question 3)
  • There are quite a few questions referring to specific phobias, including what benzodiazepines are (MC Q26) and how phobias are acquired//maintained (SA Q3) + some others
  • Polythetic criteria sets?? (MC Q49)
  • The three main functions of the central executive (not working memory as a whole), being according to the answers to be inhibition, switching and updating, (SA Q7)
Again, I completed this as an open book activity and I'm seriously worried that I'm stumped and missing massive amounts of content. If anyone could give a yes//no answer as to whether these are questions referring to information actually on the course is gr8/8  ;D ;D

~~Note, the study design wasn't specified, but the past study design had 2 exams and this doesn't, that's why I'm unsure as to relevance~~

Engage is littered with mistakes, some good questions, and some really weird q's. best to avoid the shitty q's and only do the relevant ones. unfortunately, there one of the only free ones everyone can access :/

Engage exams are written by many different people over different subjects and years, they have widely varying quality and I don't know about psych, but some *definitely* go out of the SD/have un-VCAA-like questions.  If you find a not-so-great one, don't be surprised, but don't give up on the whole lot. :)  Disclaimer: yeah, I've written some of 'em. :P
