Getting a band 6

Im just wondering if its possible to get band 6 in subjects where your internal rank is only top 15 in a rank 120ish school. I want to get a band 6 in chem howver im only rank 9 and usually only about 4.ppl get band 6 in chem...

Of course it is. Why not?

Rather than thinking about your rank, which you can no longer do something about, try to figure out how to get a really good mark in the HSC now. If you hypothetically end up getting a raw mark of 95, you'll easily get a band 6 despite internals affecting it.

Ah ok thanks for the advice rui! That made me feel x10 better

It's worth knowing that the difference that you can make between now and the HSC exams is huge! If you play your cards right, focus on weaknesses and maintain strengths, you'll see the results!
