Best way to complete the exam?

Hi! I was just wondering what people's opinions are regarding the best way to complete exams?
There are a few methods, but I'm not sure which is better:
1. Complete easy q's, skipping hard questions: answering easy q's gets your confidence up, leaves more time for harder q's
2. Complete harder questions first: you are more fatigued towards the end of the exam, making it more difficult to answer these questions
3. Complete it in order: spend less time flicking back and forth

Thanks~!!

Tbh, go in order. Some people like doing the Extended response first then multiple choice because if you ever run out of time, you can always guess multiple choice, but i always have way too much time left so i go in order :).

For the most part I work in order. At the end of reading time I'll do the question I'm reading/thinking about but otherwise I just go through as normal. I skip any questions I don't know how to do immediately and come back to them if I have a sudden revelation or I've finished all the ones I'm confident with. Generally things fall into place pretty quickly for me this way so I'd recommend it.

In general I don't think there's any right approach to doing exams if you do your best (cheesy ik). Try it each way and see what works best for you (mark/time ratio or something) and then you'll know for sure though. :)

Personally, I would recommend the first method you suggested. I think building momentum and confidence in exams is extremely important and is often overlooked by a lot of people. Once you get into a good rhythm you'll find it's a lot easier to smash through the more difficult questions.

Another way of breaking things up may also be section by section: for instance when I did Australian History there were four sections, and I would always complete sections C and D first because they were essays and I could write them out in 20 minutes rather than the allocated 30 minutes, therefore leaving me more time to do sections A and B.

However, one thing to bear in mind is that often Humanities-style exams in particular are written in an order of easiest to hardest, so there is often no need to flip between questions.
