Prescription in Paper 2

Hey guys,
How likely is it that in Paper 2 in either Mod A (Donne and W;t) or Mod B (Speeches) that they'll prescribe a specific text i.e The Sunne Rising or Spotty Handed Villainesses. I'm really struggling to figure out an approach that lets me have a solid foundation essay that adapts to all poems or all speeches without going too broad in my analysis.
Are there any other poor, unfortunate souls out there stressed out about a possible prescribed poem or speech?

Hey Lottie! Unfortunately, it is not out of the question, it happened to me in 2014 for speeches. Indeed, we could be due for it again, it is definitely most likely to happen in Module B not Module A  :o

My best recommendation would be to prepare an essay that uses one/two speech(es) that you love, and leaves room for a third that can be tied in in a very general way. Speeches can be covered quite generally; all the speeches cover the idea of justice, equality, that sort of stuff. Prepare the essay, then when you get into the exam, insert the third speech on the spot (either a prescription if you are unlucky, or another favourite if you are lucky) ;D

The alternative to this is just writing the whole essay on the spot in the exam, but if you are a memoriser, your only option is just to leave blanks for any prescription (if it arises). Just be sure to have quotes from every speech ready to go! ;D

Specific characters for Module B Prose Fiction Cloudstreet is a real pain, because sometimes there is only 1 characters, or 2 semi-unrelatable characters. At least they can't designate specific poems for AoS where i did my poems :)

for module B, there wasn't a prescribed speech last year which means there could definitely be one this year. I've written a strong essay with two speeches (Atwood and Brooks) and then have notes on the context/audience/purpose and a few quotes from the rest. that way, if they don't specify, I cant write a kick ass essay, and if they do specify i can slot it in and still be good to go
