Module B speeches-given a specific speech

Hi would like to ask if we get a chosen speech in the exam for module B speeches, would this structure be okay since they would ask for the specific speech and at LEAST one other speech?

Prepared speech 1 paragraph
Given speech paragraph
Prepared speech 1 paragraph
Prepared speech 2 paragraph

Prepared speech meaning speeches I have specifically studied from before in the year :)
I'm worried since I don't think I'll be able to write two whole paragraphs on a speech that I didn't study heaps in depth

I definitely think this could work - but it definitely relies on how you link the ideas from the given speech into the other speeches as well, that will be what carries you over the line. So dedicating a paragraph completely to the one speech is fine, but you'd need to link to the speech, or at least the ideas or techniques in that speech, when you discuss the other speeches as well. This just ensures your argument is cohesive and you aren't afraid of the given speech :)

I always write essays with two texts so I'm used to a scaffold along the lines of:
text 1
text 2
text 1
text 2
so i was also wondering how to work in the third text if they specify a speech. should i do only one paragraph on each text, do two paragraphs on the prescribed speech and one on each of my strong ones, or do two on my strongest and then only one on the prescribed?

Hey hey!! ;D I think of the ideas you suggest, one paragraph per text would be the best approach. The second idea works well too, but the third one throws off the balance between your speeches a little. It's not a huge deal in the Close Study, but a balance is preferable :) so I'd go with Option 1, or Option 2 if you prefer it! :)
