I'm all set for themes and quotes and have attempted to make "Fool on the Hill" by the Beatles my related text.
How does the lyrics of this song represent relationships between "People and Landscapes"?
The lyrics are as follows:
"The Fool On The Hill"
Day after day, alone on the hill
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around
Well on the way, head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around
And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around
He never listens to them
He knows that they're the fools
They don't like him
The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around

Hey Roshana! I didn't study People and Landscapes, but what do you think? I'll let you know if I think you are on the right track :)

Well, in reading these lyrics I basically assumed that this so called 'Fool on the Hill' was always so misjudged and belittled by everyone else around him. However, these individuals do not see the wisdom within this "fool". In the song, it appears as though this man is the only person who knows what's going on in the world(landscape) and those who dislike and mistreat him as he seems odd are the ignorant ones who lack the wisdom to look beyond what is in front of their eyes.
Not sure how to expand on this technique/theme-wise.

You could talk about the word "fool" and it's connotations & denotations. Think of it a bit like poetry :)
I think what you're saying works well but it also depends on what themes you're exploring in your prescribed text. Is this for Friday's exam?

Judith Wright's poetry is what i am looking at and my main theme is the characteristics of the landscape shaping the identity of the individual through experiences and thus strengthening and/or weakening the relationship that the individual has with the land.
