Tutoring

Hey everyone,

I'm interested in going to tutor again for General Maths and English. I've being doing okay in my Maths but did poorly in  my prelims (53%, only 10 people out 90 passed).  And for English I got (88%), though I feel like tutor is necessary as it harder.

What are your experiences  with tutor? Did they help?
And for those who don't, how do you maintain outstanding results without external tutoring?

Hi there!
Just giving my two cents on tutoring, but I don't have a tutor for those subjects.
I currently have a tutor for chemistry and Japanese SL, and they do really help, even if you are doing well. One of my friends is getting high 90's in English and she says her tutor is always giving her fresh ideas and it's worth it.

Just saying.. my average in chemistry went from 40 to 70 :~) God speeed
Don't worry too much about math; my further mathematics class had an average of 32% for a mock exam we just did...

It's never too late to get an extra boost to really finalize your understandings.
Make sure you keep up the consistent work, and if you end up getting tutored, really absorb your tutors' perspectives - a lot easier to do when it's one on one

ATAR Notes is like free online tutoring in a lot of ways as well! The moderators here are more than happy to help with big or little questions, as well as working on essays, creatives, or mathematical concepts you're struggling with :) Definitely the face-to-face stuff helps, but do consider hanging out and getting some feedback on stuff this year! :)
