Can someone help me with Q ii) which is attached to this post. Don't have to draw the diagrams, just explain why two cases are so.

This is because of the ambiguous case of the sine rule.

As you know, sin (120 degrees) = sin (60 degrees). When you draw a triangle, you never necessarily know whether the angle is obtuse/acute unless specified by the question. Thus make allowances for two possible angles.
