ATAR Notes VCE Tutorial Centre Discussion Thread - LAUNCHING SOON! :D

HopefulLawStudent:
If you're reading this and you're a Year 11 going into Year 12, you should very seriously get on board.

This sounds like an absolutely amazing idea and if I'm being honest, I'm a little jealous that I didn't have this in my year (even if I'm glad as hell to be free from the shackles of Year 12). Like seriously, this sounds ridiculously amazing. AN, you've seriously outdone yourself this time.

geminii:
Hey! This sounds awesome!
I'm a year 11 and I'm doing year 12 next year, although I've already finished exams and started my year 12 subjects this year. I was wondering how much it costs to come to the building and study?

Thanks! :)

This is exciting as, but I'm not going to forget that the core of ATARNotes is these forums and our supportive, inclusive, generous, awesome community!  If you're worried that they're going to go down the drain a bit as AN gets more, uh, commercial - I promise you nothing will change except that they'll get bigger and better ;)

To be really honest with you - this is one of my concerns (more and more commercialisation). But in saying that I can understand it and hope the grass roots of AN isn't forgotten about. I really do hope it's a success though - a great centre with access to top notch people.. better $$ going to us than those purely for profits, I guess :)

The success of ATAR Notes as a company geared towards accessible education shouldn't be concerning to the online ATAR Notes community. Really it is the opposite that should be true. The big push into NSW (and continued success in Victoria) quadrupled previous forum traffic records. The community looks better now than ever before.

The way I see it, ATAR Notes has gone from a thriving online community, to an even more thriving online community that also has the ability to offer free lectures to thousands of students, and is now also making sure that face-to-face help is as accessible as it possibly can be.

One of the core goals for AN has always been increasing the accessibility of education. Making sure every student has a place they can go for support from their peers, and for access to resources they can use to enable their success. Now, we're doing that in so many ways beyond just on the forums. To me, there is no absolutely no downside to that kind of expansion, and it will only make the community even better as more and more people come aboard :)
