Word count for AOS and creative

How many words should each piece of writing be for our AOS essay and creative? Taking into consideration the time we have to write them and how many words we need to get a band 6... Any help appreciated!! THANKYOU :)

Hey Nialllovespie! For a Creative, it totally depends on your writing style; some people need as many as 1100 words to get a Band 6 Creative. Some need only 500. It depends on your personal style and the strength of your conceptual focus! That said, most of the Band 6 Creative Pieces I've read sit above that 650-700 word mark, I'd say that's the normal minimum for making sure you really get your concept out in a meaningful way :)

For an essay, you are looking at getting up into the 800-1000 word range in the AoS :)

Precisely! It's like cutting down a tree (or something). Someone really strong might do it in 20 swings. I might take 50 swings or more. But we both get the tree down all the same ;D
