Brain Surgery

Anyone know how many years of university you have to go through before you can become a brain surgeon?
And also what sort of income your looking at by the end of it?

Based on information on this website, and the fact that an undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine is 6 years, you are looking at a minimum of 11-12 years to become a qualified neurosurgeon (possibly more if there is extra training involved that I can't see; I know Medicine graduates have internships that need to be done before they are qualified) :) more realistically, probably 15 or even more years of study?

Data suggests a median pay of $260,000 per year for a neurosurgeon in Australia (aka - friggin huge, but it needs to be with what is required to do this job) :)
