Missing two practicals for Linear Algebra

During the last day before Easter (Thursday 13th of April) I will not be able to attend the two practicals and the lecture that I have. I booked a flight to a brass band competition and can't get a refund.....

Is this a big deal that could cause me to fail due to poor attendance? Do the maths faculty permit you to attend alternative practical sessions?

Thanks  :)

You can't fail Lin Alg on attendance. But depending on how good you want to do in the subject, and how well you reckon you can do on your own, you got to decide whether it's an issue or not. Only situation where attendance for it might come into play is if you are a borderline fail (i.e. high 40s) then they would likely bump you up to a 50 if you've attended all tutes and pracs. In regards to alternate practicals, they generally let you if its just for a week or two. I'd suggest you talk to your tutor about your situation and try work something out.
