Lecture clashes no matter which session I choose

I've noticed while time tabling that my chemistry lecture clashes with either my physics subject or my philosophy breadth, which both only have one lecture option. I was thinking of attending the chemistry lecture and watching the philosophy lecture later, however the faq says I should consider enrolling in another breadth. Is it likely to disadvantage me if I watched the lectures rather than attended? My clash is with CHEM10009 and either MULT10011 or HPSC10002, if I had to miss one, which would impact me the least?

On a side note, has anyone studied HPSC10002 (Science and Psedoscience) or ABPL10003 (Visualising Environments)? Are they any good as breadth?

Just watch the lecture online. IMO you are actually at a disadvantage attending lectures in person because 1) you can't rewind/pause the video to make extended notes or replay confusing parts and 2) sitting in a lecture hall is nowhere near as comfortable as the comfort of your own house.

I wouldn't change subjects for lecture clashes if you're happy with your selection overall. Watching them in your own time can be way more productive, as extremeftw pointed out. You just need to actually watch the lectures instead of putting them off.

Watching the lecture recordings is NOT the same as going in person.
It depends a bit on the subject, but not everything is recorded.

for a subject like philosophy you should be fine watching the lecture at home. only time its really a problem would be something like a math subject where you have to write stuff along with the lecturer but in the commerce faculty even that gets recorded and put on lecture capture (although i hear in science that doesnt happen all the time)
just watch the recording later on
