Hi,
I was looking at the syllabus for conics and there were a few parts I wasn't certain on, in particular for the rectangular hyperbola.
1. "Find the point of intersection of tangents and of normals" - what does this mean? Their intersection with the other branch of the curve, each other ...?
2. "Find loci of points including:
a) loci determined by intersection points of tangents
b) loci determined by intersection points of normals
c) loci determined by midpoints of intervals"
Could you please give some examples of these.
Thanks

Locus problems are in every textbook. Consider, for example, the worked example from Cambridge 4U Pg111
