Pineapple provides a juicy quality to the pizza; otherwise, pizzas (especially those without thick toppings) can be a bit dry.

but you have to be careful about too much -- pineapples and other watery ingredients eg. mushrooms, capsicum = soggy. Ew.

I don't really like the sensation of warm pineapple, I so often associate pineapple with cold tastes on hot days. So I feel like I don't want it on my pizza. But then when I have thai curries, I love the sweetness of the pineapple. A curry is a reasonably wet dish, and a pizza is quite dry, so this makes me think that upon deeper digging, the problem with pineapple on a pizza is actually the explosion of moisture it brings to the pizza, rather than the actual fact of it being a tropical fruit on a pizza.

I thought too much about this.

So what if the pineapple had been dried out prior?

honestly imo people can do whatever they want with pizza as long as they don't put an egg on it. that is still where i draw the line.

Do you like egg usually, but not on pizza? Or do you just not like egg at all?

i have nothing against it when it stays in its assigned dishes.

But like - why is pizza not one of those assigned dishes?
