Velocity & Speed

(1/1)

frog1944:
Hi,

If a question asks me to find the speed of a particle, should I take this as its speed or velocity? Or if they want velocity will they say velocity? This may sound like a silly question, but numerous times I've seen a question ask for speed (which is always positive) when in fact they mean velocity.

Thanks

That means the question was written wrong.

In the HSC they will never create disambiguity between those terms.
