Medicine without UMAT?

(1/1)

geek123456:
Are there any undergrad medicine universities that do not require Umat?

Alter:
From the UMAT website:

--- Quote ---UMAT scores can be used for admission to any of the UMAT Consortium universities ONLY in the year following the test. For example, results from UMAT2017 can be used for undergraduate medicine or health science courses beginning in 2018 but NOT 2019.
--- End quote ---

Put simply, you won't be able to do it in the first year that you're doing unit 3/4 subjects. You are only eligible in your final year of schooling.

cookiedream:
As far as I know, the only unis that offer undergrad med and don't require umat are:
- James Cook University (ATAR, written application, interview)
- Griffith University (ATAR of at least 99.75)

Guaranteed Entry:
- University of Melbourne, Chancellor's (ATAR 99.90, interview)
- Monash Biomedical Science (50 places: interview is worth 60%, an average of at least 70 across core units is worth 40%)
