Thrilling and Ed just don't go in the same sentence.  ;D ;D

Which one of them are you thinking about?

Do you have thoughts on what you will major in?

Obviously if you're considering majoring in Philosophy, TSM is a must but like... if they are just going to be electives either way... HR2 is probably a better unit that contributes to your overall education. If my whole degree was made up on one unit instead of 24 units, I'd take HR2 instead of TSM, if that's helpful at all :)

(But I'd take a Philosophy major before a HR major!!!!!!!)

(Added context, I majored in both Philo and in HR)
Whoops, sorry! I was talking about Philosophy. :)

I'm planning to major in History. As much as I enjoy Philos, I've been doing it since Year 11, and I wouldn't mind trying something new.
P.S. Re: elective, I'm going to recommend Philosophy. It annoys a little bit more every day that I majored in International Studies instead of Philo. :-\
Actually, International Studies looks alright, I like the idea of the European studies stream.

How did you find ATS1326? Doable without ATS1325? :)

You could always take a second year unit as well. If you aren't going to major in Philo, TSM isn't a life-changing unit imo. There are some really amazing second year units that might satisfy your taste for international relations. Ethics of Global Conflict comes to mind.
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

ATS1326 - definitely doable without ATS1325.

From memory, it's looking more at globalisation and stuff, whereas Contemporary Worlds 1 had a week per major world event/concept. I enjoyed both. Definitely don't need Cont. Worlds 1, though.

BMS1042  PUBLIC HEALTH AND PREVENTIVE MEDICINE
BMS1052  HUMAN NEUROBIOLOGY
BMS1062  MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
MTH2010  MULTIVARIABLE CALCULUS

Not sure about 2nd year math - anyone have any ideas for an elective?
MTH2010 isn't that bad. If you still get Steve Siems taking it then it feels like even more of a bludge unit. If you are not planning on taking anymore math / not too sure about it, I'd probably say to take another unit. On its own, majority of the content is pretty bland.

As for me, should be a fun filled semester.

PHS2062 Electromagnetism and Optics
PHS2350 Introductory Physics Research Project
MTH3020 Complex Analysis and Integral Transforms
MTH3060 Advanced Ordinary Differential Equations

2016 - 2019: Bachelor of Science Advanced - Research (Honours) [Physics and Mathematics] @ Monash University

CHM4100, gonna be such a change to what I'm used to. ::)

PHS2350 Introductory Physics Research Project

There's some hype right there.

How much harder or easier do you think MTH2010 was in comparison to MTH1030?

2010 is like doing methods again, but without the fucked up questions. It's fairly easy, just stupidly boring. Defs easier than 1030, which actually makes you think.

If that is accurate hopefully it's pretty light

and yeah I have heard many people say 2010 is easier ahaha.

In terms of 1030 I found content alright linear algebra is so boring tho.

GEN3030 - Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Genetics
GEN3062 - Evolutionary and Ecological genetics
GEN3990 - Genetics Research in Action (got myself a supervisor and project yesterday in population genetics modelling)
CHM2922 - Spectroscopy and Analytical Chemistry (for my minor)

I feel like I dug myself into a bit of a hole prematurely, since I'm not good at them but find the content super interesting...
VCE: Psych | Eng Lang | LOTE | Methods | Further | Chem
Uni: Bachelor of Science (Hons) - genetics
