All types of VCE tutors wanted!

Hey fellow ATARnotes users!

I’ve recently started up a tutoring company where we pair high school students wanting tutors up with recent high school graduates that have scored highly in the subject their looking for. For tutors, it basically takes the hassle out of finding students and having to compete with other tutors. We operate through a ‘tutor hub’ system which basically is an online group of all the tutors that have signed on with us and when a student contacts us for tutoring we put their details in the chat and tutors can choose to accept the student or not based on their location and subject.

We are getting a little bit of interest in tutoring at the moment and are looking for more tutors to join our ‘tutor hub’ and possibly tutor through us if students do become available. Our tutors receive $35 per hour for year 12 tutoring, $30 for year 11 and $25 for year 7-10.

To work with us you do have to have an ABN which is easy to apply for online and free! You do also have to have a employer’s working with children’s check, this does cost money however we would only require you to have one once we can guarantee you a student and not just for joining the online ‘tutor hub’. Even if you’re just available for one or two students per week it could be a good way to make some extra money on the side and could look good on your resume. Hi Jay.C,
Good to here about your tutoring company and I want to ask something about your company. Is it providing online tutoring and in which subjects? Second I would recommend that, you also provide a feature which allow teachers to sign up there like a leading educational portal Solution Inn is doing.
