Hey guys I was just looking through all the questions that I've been doing in preparation for UMAT. One thing that I realise is that I spent more than 3 hours completing them and I know during the exam 3 hours is definitely not enough to answer all questions. My question is do we have to read the whole passage before answering the questions? Some say that we dont some say that we definitely have to.

For section 1 you should read the question before reading the information so you can save time and only look for relevant information.
For section 2 you should read the information before reading the question so you read the interactions without bias.
Since you are short on time, you should use reading time wisely and read as many stems as possible for either section 1 or 2 in the 10 mins.
Janna:
If your struggling for time reading time is the best place to improve. If you read a lot of question stems in reading time you might end up forgetting them and just have to reread them before you do the question anyway. In reading time try to read as many of the long section 2 passages as possible and do the questions and memorise your answers - section 2 is really the only section where you can actually do the questions without needing a pen so effectively your just adding 15 minutes onto your time for the exam rather then having strictly "reading time"
