Whats the technique called where you say the same thing multiple times sequentially in different ways? (There's another name for tautology but I forgot.)

a google search of 'tautology' gave me a list of synonyms, one of them being repetition. is that what you're looking for?
there's also anaphora, but that's when you repeat the same word/phrase in successive sentences. (if that doesn't make sense, i'll provide an example)
