Leave your EPI advice for next years cohort

I personally found the EPI more stressful than any other academic task, and if possible I'd like to leave the next group more guidance and advice. So, if you leave what you learnt/your advice, I'll add it to this top post. Hopefully this time next year this will be a good resource

planning and research
-setting up a online space we could all access and edit the timeline, share photos, research etc. was very valuable
-things will take longer than you expect them to

data collection
-record everything (eg if using carbon paper to see where projectiles have landed: how far was the page? Which side of the page was closer? When did this happen?)
-excel is nice, but check that the formulas are giving the right output
presentation
-preplanning is your friend
