Eulogy for Macbeth

Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas for how I can structure a eulogy for Macbeth? Does anyone have any ideas I could expand on? I know that Macbeth was "bad", but as per the creative task, I need to present him in a positive light.

Thanks!

Hi PopcornTime (love the username, by the way!)

A eulogy is usually given by someone close to the deceased (eg, the spouse or children or a very good friend), and would therefore have an intimate relationship with the deceased. Think about what things you would share with those you are intimate with (eg, what would you share with your best friend that you wouldn't share with a random classmate?) How would these people see Macbeth? What would they know about him that others don't? How would they interpret his actions? What reasons would they give for his regicide? What deeper understanding of him (eg, his ambition, his hopes and dreams, his relationship with his wife, his friendship with Banquo, etc) would they have that, say, Macduff would not have?

Hope that helps!
