I feel really good today :)
Midsem break is finally here. I stayed up late last night doing a Physics assignment so taking the day off. It feels so good to be able to just relax.

I've had a look at the assignments due after the break for engineering and maths, and they seem tough. Also, the person who wrote the eng assignment seems to enjoy "a Caffe Latte one sugar" quite a bit. Trying to organise the eng assignment (it's a group one) and questions 1-3 seem easy (they'd probably only take 20-30m each) while question 4 has 4 pages of theory/information and looks like it'd take at least 3 hours. So, not sure how this assignment will be divided up.

I decided to play a bit of xbox. Unfortunately, I have 80gb worth of updates to download and one of the games I wanted to play requires xbox live gold (I don't play xbox much so buying a monthly subscription isn't worth it for me). So I'll have to wait a day or two for it to download. The game with the 40gb updates is at about 20% and it's been downloading for 24h. Oh well.

Yesterday I started watching Blade Runner with my dad.

I'm loving the weather, it's cool and a bit sunny and just making me feel happy. I'll definitely be using this break to have some much needed me time. ;D

Uni

Marks
The last Economics assignment (worth 10%) had an average of about 12.5 / 20, but I got 19/20 :D It feels great doing so well.
I didn't do so well in the most recent Engineering assessment (only got 60% :( ), but it was only worth 1% and was based on the results you got for an experiment. It didn't take into account your ability to process the data or write the code, only whether you got the right answer. Also had a group member that didn't show up. So it sucks, but at least it won't impact my results too much.

Fun / Clubs
Our club is running a BBQ  AND a Trivia night in Week 12 :D looking forward to it!

Work
I have a major Economics assignment due on Monday but I managed to spend my morning looking up subject prerequisites (as least it's something productive, right?)
I have a maths assignment also due on Monday but I may leave it to the couple hours before, due to my Economics assignment. It doesn't look to be too bad, so I'm hoping I'll be alright.
I've unfortunately gotten into the habit of missing lectures to watch lectures (particularly maths, where I watch the recordings from another lecturer). I'm currently 2 lectures behind but not sure when I'll be able to catch up, I have a very busy weekend ahead of me. Maybe on Tuesday? I don't like being so behind haha

Non-Uni
Well... Uni has taken control of my life again
Plan on watching a movie at home with family over the weekend (the Scorch Trials, my brother is currently obsessed with the Maze Runner books)
I have a library book due today but I'm around 750 pages in out of 850 :( reached maximum number of renewals too. I might return it and try to borrow it back out again in a few days haha.

Ahh, the only reason to join clubs besides making friends, the good old BQQ, bonus points if the club fee was free and you only joined to take part in the BQQ.
I do feel sad for paying $10 to a club, whose events I never went to because the time the events ran was always on when my assignments were due :(.

I too hate when I'm nearing completion of a book and I ran out of renewals and I also highly recommend doing the trick you mention to other people as well.

But, If you want to be extra sure you get the book or unethical. Put a hold on the book, Return it and Come back to pick it up from the hold section, when they send an alert about it :D. I may not do this with popular books at all ;) and also potentially piss of a sizeable amount of students over it.

I have a serious case of "Procrastination". Done zero work today.
My exams start next week and this week feels far too much like holidays. Been struggling to study, I currently have one subject that I've done revision for, and the other two I've been struggling to start (I have 3 consecutive exams that I'm preparing for first).

Uni Stuff
I got 15/15 for my final Economics assignment (worth 10%). So happy :D that's made my day
I also got 22/22 for my maths MATLAB test (worth 10%) :D
These are the best marks I've gotten this semester and it just feels good to know that I can do it and survive exams. They're only worth 10% but it takes a little bit of the pressure off exams. (Note: I don't usually do this well and I'm very surprised I got what I did. At least they'll counteract my minimal amount of study... hopefully)

I also got 225% on my Engineering practice test/quiz (worth 5%). It was an online quiz and you could select how confident you were with your answer. The higher confidence you selected, the more points you got if you got it right and the more you lost if you got it wrong. The percentage was based off of 1 point per question and it was possible to get up to 3 per question, meaning you could get up to 300% (or a negative percentage)! It's likely they'll scale down the percentages but it's always nice getting a percentage that high, even if it's not very accurate :P

Non-Uni Stuff
I finished the first book in the Outlander series (finally! :) ). I borrowed out the second book in the series and I'm looking forward to binge-reading and binge-watching Outlander during the holidays. I might even rewatch the earlier seasons :D

Edit: I'm currently watching clips from House MD and the Catherine Tate show on youtube... I'm doubting I'll get much work done tonight haha

PS zofromuxo, it was free to join the club ;) They also offered free soft drink upon signup
