Bad ranks but smashing externals?

So far, my rankings aren't too bad, but they're not particularly great either. I am aiming for an ATAR of 93 and I feel my rankings will prevent me from achieving that goal. So my question is, if I smash externals, would my rankings make much of an impact in achieving a 90+ ATAR?

The whole ATAR calculation and how it works is still quite complex and confusing...

Hey! Smashing your externals will go a long way for making up for less-than-ideal rankings. The better you do, the less ranks matter!! ;D

Here is a guide I wrote on how it all works, if you haven't seen it yet! Happy to answer any specific technical questions you have ;D
