Hi,

I saw the following practical to determine the rate of corrosion of metals in different oxygen concentrations
"1. Placed 3 nails in separate test tubes (Boiled then cooled sea water covered with oil – removes oxygen, Normal sea water, Sea water and 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide.)
2. Left for 2 weeks and observed corrosion
Results
Nails in water with oxygen showed mild levels of corrosion. Nail with low oxygen had very little corrosion"

I'm confused about the "Sea water and 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide", what does this have to do with the oxygen concentration?
