Language Analysis for the exam

Hi guys!

Do you guys think that this year's exam will have just one article to analyse for LA?? (considering there was only one article for the sample)

Also, my teacher at school thought that they might just give one article as VCAA knows that since it's a new study design, so they'll be a lot more lenient to us.

What do you guys think??

Hmm I am not sure. I guess we have to be ready for anything. Last years definitely threw a few people so I am hoping this years is nice and straightforward but still complex enough to analyse well

ah, i'm not sure the sample is super indicative of the exam tbh. :/ i kind of feel like we might get multiple? since it's specified that it's argument analysis now, it might add another layer of complexity to have two argument trajectories to deal with. but i'm hoping for a lenient one article too omg, it's hard enough having a new study design without getting multiple articles in the exam to worry about too! (:

I have a feeling it will be multiple newspaper articles too, I think they only included one the sample as they may have been too busy to make the "full" sample?

The criteria states you need to compare and contrast, and all my English SACs had multiple articles.

I think you should definitely prepare for if they include more than one article. At least if you prepare for more than one, you can use the skills you've learned for analysing one as analysing two needs a whole new set of skills.

Good luck! :)
