What's your repertoire?

I think it'd be cool if we shared what we were playing, so that maybe we can discuss and improve on our pieces :)
Don't forget to post your instrument!

I play the piano, and although I'm not doing vce music I'm trying to learn the first few of Bach's Goldberg Variations, Chopin Nocturne Opus 9 No.2, Chopin Ballade No.1 (so far with little success), and the 3rd movement of Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata (much less success, lol).

I play piano too and I'm also working on that chopin ballade! How hard is that fast bit at the end ... it makes my hands hurt :(

I'm also doing umm ... bach P/F No.8 (Bk 1), some haydn sonata, the last chopin etude, some obscure 20th century piece, beethoven sonata op.110, and rachmaninovs 2nd concerto <3

Cool, yeah the last bit is a bit hectic, but the middle bit with all the octaves hurts me much more. Have you seen Horowitz play? It's one of my favorite vids:

Omg last year I was crazy over Final Fantasy (and other SquareSound) music, luckily it's died down enough for me to do other stuff. It's really fantastic stuff, people definitely shouldn't underestimate 'game' music. Too bad many pieces aren't easily adapted to piano though :(

My piano teacher who I stopped lessons with this year gave me a book of beethoven sonatas so I've been reading through that book. I really enjoy the opus 10 sonatas and opus 13 - Sonata Pathetique.

I used op.10 no.2 first movement as one of my pieces for VCE

Atm I'm focusing on my pieces for AMEB 8th grade flute :-\

Boehm Study No. 11 in D flat major
Busser Prelude and Scherzo
Mozart Sonata in F for flute and piano
and orchestral excerpts

For oboe I'm just doing random fun pieces  :)
Soon I'll be starting on more solo performance flute pieces though.

Ahhh, I remember doing 8th Grade AMEB for piano back in year 9 =D the memories =P

I'm currently learning La Campanella! Yes that's right, the bell song =) Lovin it!
I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who show a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, this is still the common denominator that separates those who live their dreams to those who live in regret.
