Posters or Cheat Sheets

In preparation for exams is it really worth it creating mind maps/ posters for relevant areas when you are required to create a cheat sheet anyway. I know posters can be helpful in other subjects to help tie together content but when you have a 1,500 word cheat sheet (which I had for my Unit 1 assessment) will a poster offer any more benefit?

Seeing as you are a Yr 11 student I think you should go for posters if you are having trouble understanding/remembering content in physics.
Although Physics is a math/science subject and is way different to subjects like History etc. I still think it would be good to create posters so you can include diagrams. This will allow you to gain a conceptual understanding of the content which I believe is very important in Physics. For tests and exams, I would lean towards cheatsheets, since that is what you will be allowed to take into your final Unit 3/4 examination.
Upon further reflection, since you have time, experiment with both and see what works for you. If you feel you should only go with one of the two, go with cheatsheets. It is crucial that you emulate exam conditions so you are prepared and confident for your final exam.
Hope this helps  :)

Hey! I know that you posted this question a while ago, but I thought I'd add a small piece of advice - whether you do posters or cheat sheets should depend on what helps you most in learning the content - if you are finding that you are just doing one or the other because you think you think you should, or for completeness, this may end up wasting your time. It can be easy to feel like you should, and I'm not saying that you shouldn't do either at all, but rather that you should tailor your preparation to what is really assisting you the most. In subjects where you don't have heaps of time to learn all the content, make sure you implement a strategy or strategies that makes the most of the time you do have, and makes you fell most prepared and comfortable. Hope this helps a bit :)
