Interaction of Core and Option Topics

Hi,

I do the quanta to quarks option topic, and occasionally the extended response questions from both the core and option, can be answered well with reference to both (or neither in rare circumstances). If the extended response is in the core can I use knowledge from option (or even solely option)? And vice versa for the option topic?

Thanks

You can use core knowledge in your Option (though make sure it is necessary, they'll never actively request it!), but avoid using Option knowledge in the core. Those questions are designed to be approached with core knowledge - You don't know who is marking, you don't know whether they'll know what you are presenting them with. So keep it to core knowledge there ;D
