Hey guys,
If I get a question like: "John has a bike worth $1000. It depreciates by 10% flat rate interest every year. How many years would it take before the bike reaches a value of $500?"

Can I simply write "5 years" in my answer or will I be required to write a full sentence response: "It will take 5 years before John's bike reaches a value of $500."

You can just write 5 years. The examiners understand your press for time. Just make sure to show proper working with the answer as well for question worth more then 1 mark.
