IMO the language analysis was decent. Personally, I really disliked both the comparative prompts for my texts (black diggers and the longest memory). Hopefully my performance on the other two salvage my grade  :-\

Odd, I did the belonging topic and was swamped with ideas of how to approach it!

The Medea prompts were great, and the Stasiland/Nineteen Eighty-Four prompts were awful. Language Analysis was pretty average  :'( honestly have no clue at all how I went. Wrote 5.5 pages for LA and 6.5 for TR and Comparative.

really ??
I found the Medea prompts were harder than comparative, but still they weren't suuuper hard. For comparative I'd written an essay on the prompt about rewriting history before, so I'm feeling pretty confident with that one

don't worry too much about the conclusion for language analysis, body paragraphs are definitely most important!!

For people who have done vce eng in the past, can you please comment what numerical scores you got on your exam essays and what study score it gave you? Just curious haha

Anyone who did Frankenstein, how do you think it went? Personally I struggled with the prompts given, chose the 2nd one hesitantly and wrote a pretty ordinary essay :-\ I'm predicting 5/10 which is really below my standard.

Totally feel you; was not a fan of the prompts; where was the one about ambition?!?!? Hahahahah. Still I ended up choosing the 1st one and still feel like I managed a pretty good essay, even if it wasn't quite up to my usual standard. I'm sure a lot of other people struggled with them too though so I wouldn't be too worried about it :)

Yep I ended up writing on the second one as well! The first one was very very basic, I thought the second one was a tad more interesting.

It's true that the first prompt was not as interesting as the second prompt but it's not simple tho :o

Conclusions are completely unimportant to Section C (that's why the sample responses in the exam reports never have one).

Dont think so, as long as you were consistent throughout the whole essay. Besides i dont think the examiners care if you call the writer a guy or girl more than they care about vocab and analysis.

I chose the first one rather than second because I thought my arguments could be more theme based (reason and passion) rather than character based if you're just talking about Medea + Jason, but I was originally gonna do that second prompt

Exactly. One of the teachers at my school is an assessor and she said that she gets annoyed when people say 'he/she' throughout the essay.
