What you can do is look at letters you got from centerlink, some of them have it.
Or tax return papers?
Otherwise you can get it by filling out the same for as you would if you haven't got one, and they will send it to you.

the easiest way is to call the ATO, they'll ask u a few confidential qs to confirm ur identity, and then they'll quote ur number :D

I just called to book an interview for tomorrow, and they picked up before the "You have entered the queue" message was finished. They close at 4:30 though, better be quick :P.
