VCAA 2017 Sample exam chem

Hey,
I recently completed the sample exam given by VCAA.
Since VCAA havent put any solutions up for the extended response, I was wondering if anyone knew any institutions who have made solutions to the exam? Can't find any.
I was also wondering what were peoples' thoughts on the exam? Particularly on the last question on experimental design??

Thanks

Yeah I was looking for similar, I haven't been able to find any however :(

I thought the last question was to be expected and that something like it will probably appear in the exam - given the new SD's greater emphasis on research methods etc...

Btw for question 20 the answers say D, but D says "...at the active site of the substrate". Does that mean that the substrate has an active site as well - even though active sites are basically exclusively referred to in terms of enzyme active sites?

Do you want to post your answers here and we can compare solutions?

I have had a look over the exam, unfortunately it is unlikely that I will have time to post complete solutions, but anything specific I am happy to help. The exam seems to be of the standard difficulty of previous VCAA exams. There certainly is some stuff that is ambiguous, as with most VCAA exams. The last question seems reasonable.

@DailyInsanity I think the answer is incorrectly worded. I believe that substrate should be replaced with enzyme. A coenzyme will change the shape of the active site of the enzyme. Substrates sort of have 'active sites', its the part of the substrate that directly interacts with the enzyme's active site, but you don't need to know about that.
