About VCE unit 1/2 EAL?

I REALLY want to prepare for unit 1/2 EAL for next year because I am really bad at English. Whenever comes to english, I just BARELY pass... Next year I really want to do well so I want to prepare over the holidays. Is EAL easier than English or harder? some of my friends were saying it is more difficult than standard english. Please give me some good advice and study tips. I couldn't find anyone who's doing or did EAL around me. And it would be great if anyone let me know what's the most important thing to study for VCE EAL. Thanks:D

some of my students would agree with you -- thy are finding the new components of the EAL course quite a challenge because of the unfamiliarity of the tasks: short answer questions and the listening test. Additionally, they amount of response required pushes the time allowed. Fortunately, these factors can be dealt with by practice.
