Hi,
I was wondering whether you could tell me if the below equations are correct, as I've seen a few contradictory sources. Thank you in advance :)

Dry Cell Anode Half Equation:
Zn(s) → Zn2+(aq) + 2e–
Dry Cell Cathode Half Equation:
2NH4+(aq) + 2MnO2(s) + 2e-→ Mn2O3(s) + 2NH3(g) + H2O(l)
Dry Cell Net Ionic Equation:
Zn(s) + 2NH4+(aq) + 2MnO2(s) + 2H2O(l) → Zn2+ + 2Mn(OH)3(s) + 2NH3(aq)

Silver Button Cell Anode Half Equation:
Zn(s) + 2OH-(aq)→ Zn(OH)2(l) + 2e-
Silver Button Cell Cathode Half Equation:
Ag2O(s) + H2O(l) + 2e- → 2Ag(s) + 2OH-(aq)
Silver Button Cell Net Ionic Equation:
Zn(s) + Ag2O(s) → ZnO(s) + 2Ag(s)

Hi!

I used these cells! Those are the equations I remembered :)
Life is weird and crazy as heck but what can you do?

Hey man I finished my HSC for Chemistry in 2017 with a high band 6!

Just a heads up, these are the correct equations and stuff, but tbh u will never need to remember the net ionic equation, just the half equations are fine. Also, you need to know how to draw and label the Dry and Silver Button Cell, so yea practise that as well.

Hope this helps! :)
