Atar Clearly In

Wondering if someone could explain the clearly in atars. Let's say I wanted to do bachelor of science, and the clearly in is 85. I get like like 85.2 or something, am i garunteed a place/should i be able to relax in that i can get it or not?

A clearly-in ATAR is whatever the lowest accepted ATAR was last year in the first accepted round. Last year, that score was 85. This score can and will change every year.

Having said that, it often doesn't change by much - I wouldn't be super comfortable with your position, make sure your second preference is something you actually want to do, but it's still pretty likely that you'll get in. We won't know for sure until course offers come out next year.

Even more than that, just because you don't get an offer in the first round, doesn't mean you won't get an offer in future rounds. Sometimes, the lowest accepted ATAR is miles below the clearly-in, based purely on the amount of people that got an offer for (in this case) the BSci but rejected it, not to mention SEAS, etc.
