Hey guys, how likely is it to be getting a second round offer that was a higher preference than the first round offer?

Thanks.

Majority of offers are issued at round one, so the chance of you getting an offer in round 2 is significantly reduced.... but this doesn't mean it's impossible! For my masters, it was infact a second round offer :)

If you had a scenario where you put this preference higher in round 1 and didn't get that, then i'd say it would be fairly unlikely that you would get considered again in future rounds given you didn't meet their requirements during the first round.

There isn't any harm in trying, though. :) Could get lucky!

BUT REMEMBER: Always accept your first round offer as a failsafe incase nothing further happens. If you let the offer lapse, you won't get anything! You can withdraw later if you decide on choosing something else.
