Hi! Welcome to the forums

- Physics, absolutely. The new course is more mathematical than the old course that is currently being studied by Year 12 for the last time, but still nothing nuts. A bit of hard work to catch up and you'll be fine.

- 2U will be a significant workload jump for someone doing 5.1, you should be prepared for lots of additional work to keep pace, especially early on where much of the content will be stuff 5.2/5.3 will likely have seen before, whereas you/the person may not have.

So basically, yes you can, but be prepared to put in a lot of extra work to catch up when you need to

I hope this response is not too late (had a lot of Year 10 students ask me this last year). I'd say it's possible for you to do 2U math and physics. When you reach Year 11 and 12, it's more about improving your work ethic. A lot of students are shocked in the first term how different Year 10 and Year 11 are, but if you're passionate about those two subjects, as cliche as it sounds, you'd be more than willing to work for a great grade!
