Can someone please help me! I cant get to the right answers

1. A 2.5 kg pendulum is attached to a 2 m rope. What is the tension in the rope as it swings through its lowest point at a speed of 4 m/s?

Answer: 45 N

2. If a 250 kg motorcycle configuration is to round a corner of radius 30 m and the road is banked at an angle of 30°, how fast can they go? Assume the road exerts a force of 700 N down the plane.

Answer: 16.33 m/s

Thanks !

1. There is both force due to gravity and tension. The tension will be equal to Cf + W

2. Find the magnitude of component of the normal force that acts horizontally. That's equal to the centripetal force

Use F = ma, a = v^2/r  and rearrange for speed.

Reply with how you went :)

Thank you!! I realised with the first question that I wasn't adding the W when I was working it out.

However, I am still unable to get to the answer of the second question, is it possible for you to explain a bit further

Motion is probably one of my weakest topics and I want to get ahead of it and consolidate it as soon as possible !!
