Pls help me reduce caffeine intake
zofromuxo:
What a kind of tea are you drinking?
Different types of teas have different effects due to the ingredients, so some of them can have caffeine so read the labels.
Are you trying to moderate or eradicate caffeine intake?
I'm assuming moderate the intake.
If your eradicating, be careful not to transfer vices as this can just exacerbate the problem and not solve it.
Eg: Trading alcohol for coffee. Both are just as bad when taken to extremes.
Not much I can offer besides saying that it is possible to do without caffeine (I'm an example, no i'm not boasting, i've also got some nasty habits that i'm curbing right now like managing being angry all the time...).
Don't give in, habits are hard to break because they are habits.
"Hard choices, easy life. Easy choices, hard life. "
But good luck to Joseph!
The Special One:
I don't drink coffee or alcohol so maybe I don't know too much about coffee addiction but I know there's many alternatives to getting that pick me up and you don't have to quit cold turkey.
Caffeine like any drug is addicting and lots of people have a coffee addiction.
Maybe switch to De Caf to lower your body's dependence on caffeine.
Gradually weane yourself off the stuff.

@zofro:
G'day mate. Very cognisant that tea is largely caffeinated (pound for pound more than coffee, I believe?). Honestly doesn't concern me because I'm not worried about having literally zero caffeine intake. Also don't drink, so no worries on that front. 👍
@TSO:
Indeed - that is precisely what I'm doing.
