Unimelb what happens if fail 1st lab??

In my first lab at melbourne uni i got partnered with an idiot in physics 1. He was lazy, didnt read about the lab notes before he came and he didnt even complete the prelab. I did my prelab and got full marks (worth 20%) of lab grade and in the lab the prac was badly done with uselesss data that made it difficult to analyse while we disnt have enough time since my partner for the lab was slow. Im expecting to fail my firat lab assesment for physics 1, if i get below 50% in that one lab does that mean i will have to do the whole subject again next semester?

What's it worth overall and is it a hurdle requirement?

Does the handbook list them separately or as a lump sum? So the average grade of every lab practical or is each one seperate?
