Germany question points refinement

Hey, so i got an assignment regarding germany and my question was: Account for the Nazi seizure of power in 1933 which i translated to: Give reasons for the Nazi seizure of power in 1933
My points that i have brainstormed are:
•   Nationalism
•   Anger at the treaty of Versailles
•   Economic depression
o   Failure of the Weinmar Republic?
•   Appeal of the Nazi party
•   Removal of opponents -> riechstag fire ->hitlers powers -> fire used as an excuse to remove Nazi political enemies
•   Gobbels propaganda machine
•   Hindenburg + Papel making hitler chancellor, thinking they could control him
•   Workers turned to communism -> frightened big business owners -> funded hitlers campaign

Another way i laid them out is:
•   Fall of the Weinmar republic

o   Anger at the treaty of Versallies
o   Economic problems
o   Global financial crisis-affected America which in turn affected Germany
•   Rise of the Nazi parties appeal
o   Vulnerability and downfall of the Weinmar republic
o   Appointment of hitler as chancellor by Hidenburg and Papel-thought they could control him
o   Propaganda-appealing to the german people that the Nazis were the soloution to Germanys problems
•   Lack of opposition
o   Weakness of the opposition-support of some german people, secret police (gestappo), hitlers cemented position  made opposition difficult
o   Illegitamacy of opposition. Nazis vs WR-hitlers nationalistic appeal

So these are all my points (in 2 different forms). If anyone could give me any advice about which points to focus on primarialy  (for a 1500 word essay) or how i should restructure them, or any big ones that i have missed out on; OR ANYTHING
That would be a big help!
Thanks in advance!  ;D

Hey Mada438,

I think you've got the essay covered. :-) The second set of points, if you were to write them out in an essay, sounds a lot more cohesive (kinda obvious hahaha since the first set were just from a brainstorm). Alsoooo, 1500 words is a lot! Do you plan on doing that word count in exam conditions, come half yearlies?

Thanks FB3!
One other thing, regarding the points from the first list that aren't really intergrated into the second list (e.g. the point about big businesses fuding hitler because workers were turning to communism). How do you reckon i'd go about fitting them in? Or are they all kind of more or less in there?
Well this is a take-home essay to do thats due in 2 weeks. So that 1500 will be broken down into litte chunks
But I reckon i could spew forth 1500 words come half yearlies  8)

I reckon you'd be good. Once you get going, your essay will write itself, so the extra points might fit in as you go. You have 1500 words anyway - I don't think you'll have a problem. :-)

All the best for your essay! (and half yearlies)
