Hi guys I have a misconception that I hope you can clear up.

If core charge increases to the right, then why does the ionic charge of non metals increase? Like wouldn't the non metal gain more electrons if it has more electronegativity and more core charge? But as you go left in the non metals the elements gain more electrons, so doesnt their electronegativity increase?
