Messed Up First Chem SAC

Hi guys,

I just got my result back for first Chem SAC of the year, and I got 53% (ranked 49 out of a cohort of around 60).
I'm really hoping for a study score of around 40 or so, and I was wondering how much the first SAC is worth.

I mucked up my first chemistry sac too as long as you do better on your next few SACs and try to get an A (80%+) for unit 3 it should be fine. Unit 3 sacs are worth 16%, unit 4 sacs are worth 24% and the exam is worth 60%. As long as you get A+’s for unit 4 and the exam, a 40 is definitely possible, even without A+’s it can still be achieved, so don’t beat yourself up too much for this first sac. I know I have and did a bit of a rage study session but once you’ve let it out, focus on improving and doing better in the future. Hope this helps

the worth of the first sac may differ between schools so you should ask your teacher about that. As others have said try to claw yourself back with the remaining sacs of unit 3 and remember rankings reset in unit 4. You can still get a 40 but it just means you will have to work + score in the range above 40 on average for the rest of the year.

It's not an ideal start but no matter, messing up one sac per  subject  doesn't matter at all in the grand  scheme  of things irrespective of weighing.

Trust me on this learn from your mistake and move on to come back stronger. You can still get 40+ no sweat
