consequential marks chemistry

hey so ive just done my first chem sac

in q=mcat for the mass of water i did 0.1/0.997 instead of 0.1*0.997 in four different calculation questions. (i was calculating the molar heat of combustion for ethanol, methanol, propanol and butanol), and did the same mistake for all 4. Every other part of the calculations is correct, and the whole question is out of 8 (2 each).

Would i lose 1 mark only, or 4 marks as i did it wrong in every single question

also, are sacs all marked by the same guidelines like the ones in the exam?

If I was a teacher I’d probably give you 4/8 but I’m not so I can’t really answer that. Your teacher will probably either deduct one mark or all the marks for that question. SAC marking differs between schools, some schools mark easy some harsh even teachers in the same school mark differently. That’s why your SACs are moderated at school, well at least my school does it so that marking is consistent among all teachers. Your teacher should be marking it like an examiner but some won’t. Have a look at the examiners report to see the exam guidelines/answers. I’ve been told by my teacher that for this years chem exam the density of water needs to be used as 0.997 which is something they were lenient with in the 2017 exam.

my school gives out consequential marks, i'm just unsure as to what degree they'll give it to.

The formula is incorrect in one value, the volume*0.997 to get mass of water. Hopefully the consequentials leaves me with 7 or 4 rather than 0 haha
