Depends if you're referring to your school's 'B+' or to the one that VCAA assigns at the end of the year. If you're talking about your internal scores being B+ throughout the year, it may be possible, depending on how difficult your sacs are, your ranking and your performance on the exam. if you're talking about the GA1, 2 and 3 letter grades that VCAA give at the end of the year, I don't think you can :(. The technical score discussion board would probably have some more answers :)

Hey! :)

Traditionally you need an A+ in your SACs and the exam to get a 39+ in Psych, BUT:

It certainly is still possible. The reason for that is that getting B+s throughout the year in your SACs doesn't necessarily mean that VCAA will consider those marks as B+s. What I mean by this is that your SAC grades are moderated depending on a whole range of factors; basically, VCAA is adjusting for the fact that different schools have different difficulties for their SACs.

I don't think that was explained at all well, but know that yeah, it's possible, but depends on a whole heap of things - none of which are worth investing a particularly large amount of effort into. :)

EDIT: Yeah, peter.g15's response above is better.

Definitely possible. I know people from my school’s psychology cohort last year averaged in the 80’s and smashed out the exam. Our school’s sacs were moderated and scaled up so people’s marks showed an A/A+ for sacs and around 10 people got over 40’s. All things considered, my school had a pretty strong psychology cohort and difficult sacs so that helped a lot of people pull in the 40’s.
