Hey Guys,
In a comparative language analysis situation, how much of each text should I be analyzing?

Remember that with language analysis where you have more than one document, you are looking for common elements where you can integrate your comments on both texts - is author 1 supported by author 2 ?  Are these authors taking contradictory stances on the issue?  Are the authors using similar strategies/similar language devices to argue opposing views?  As you have time constraints for writing your analysis you should aim for 3 or 4 main points.  The length of the documents is also a good guide to the length of the analysis you give to each one.
