Is the 50/50/50 rule about percentiles or raw score?

So on your ATAR results you receive a score for each section out of 100. No one knows exactly
what that score means and how ACER calculates it, but all 3 of these Section scores add up to give you a score out of 300. From this your overall Umat score is calculated.
The 50/50/50 rule means that you must receive at least a score of 50 in all 3 sections.

Also, aren't the sections scrambled up in the UMAT, so you can't go about doing it section by section? I guess it;s easy enough to recognise which question belongs to which section but then you run the chance of shading in the wrong bubbles.

There is indeed 10 minutes of reading time. The sections are also scrambled, however I personally believe it is worth going Section by section. Especially for section 2 and 3 I would rather be in the mindset for either understanding people or recognising patterns for a set amount of time instead of switching between them. That is why I prefer Section by Section. There also is a risk of shading in the wrong bubble, but I’ve used the medentry printable bubble sheet for a few exams and have not run into many problems.

Does anyone have any tips in being calm at the venue? I feel like I'm going to feel more anxious before the test than during the test. :-\

You generally have to sit in silence at the venue for at least half an hour before they start the test, so it’s understandably difficult to remain calm. I think the key is to try and clear your mind and stay positive and optimistic. You just have to believe you’ve done the best preparation you could have done and trust yourself to follow through.
